On behalf of your Luna PTA Board of Directors --

Welcome to the 2009-10 Luna PTA!!!

As you are pondering how you can help your Luna student, I hope you consider the Luna PTA. No experience necessary.  I came to Luna in 2008 with NO PTA experience and joined as the VP for Fundraising - yes, I was probably a little crazy to take that on as my first experience, but I wouldn't change a thing. PTA provides training and support. The Luna Staff provides even more support!

I was and still am just a PARENT with a desire to help!  

That's ALL you need - a DESIRE to help!  

I am still learning and am hoping for YOUR input and feedback THROUGHOUT the year.

Even if you do not have time to spare, WE WANT YOU (Moms, Dads, Grandparents, and any other Friends of Luna) to be a member of the Luna PTA. Membership is essential for a strong PTA. There are just five General PTA meetings per school year and I would encourage all Luna parents to attend. We will be presenting an outstanding student performance at each meeting and invite you to join us!

We have many, many volunteer opportunities.  If you have an hour for a single event or an hour a week, WE NEED YOU - AND WE APPRECIATE YOU AND YOUR TIME!!!

Speaking of time, I hope you have time to read the PTA Newsletter - put together to inform you of PTA events and opportunities around Luna.  We will be sending an updated Newsletter with every Report Card.

I also hope you have a chance to stop by Luna and check out the new PTA Display Board - at the front entrance of Luna - How nice it is that the Luna Staff appreciates the PTA enough to give us PRIME space for our Display Board!!!  You don't find support like that at every Middle School.
